Team Overview: The Headquarters Network Services team is responsible for the delivery of highly available and high performing DDI, load balancing, and routing and switching services, for Edward Jones' data center and cloud environments. This includes operations and maintenance activities, as well as research, design, and implementation of new solutions. We are seeking a talented, experienced, and innovative individual who can adapt and deliver results in this challenging and rapidly changing environment. The position's work schedule is typically 8-5pm local time, Monday-Friday. Work outside these hours is required as described below. Candidates capable of working a hybrid position at our St. Louis or Tempe Campuses are preferred.
What You'll Do... - Fulfill requests from Firm application and compute teams for network services such as load balancing, DNS/DHCP, and network port assignments. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday, time.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades to insure the reliability of Firm DDI systems, routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Respond quickly to network issues and outages, determine the root cause of the problem, and restore network functionality. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday, time.
- Assist/advise customers with interfacing their systems to network services. This will require work outside the 8-5pm, Monday-Friday, time.
- Perform on-call duties 4-6 times per year where you'll respond to network outages 24 hours a day for seven consecutive days.
What Experience You'll Need... - A bachelor's degree in Information technology preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with enterprise network solutions (HW and SW defined networks, routing, switching, application load balancing, DDI, network management platforms, and packet analysis)
- DDI experience – Infoblox experience strongly preferred
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP,
- Experience with Cloud IaaS with MS Azure
- Experience with IaC
- Experience with Cisco Nexus 9K platforms
- Experience with f5 LTM and GTM platforms
- Experience with VMware NSX and Avi preferred.
- Experience with investigating complex network related issues
- Ability to mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization and with partners / vendors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to multi-task and participate in large, complex, and concurrent projects

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
