This position is remote and available to residents of the United States

Playback Rewards is seeking a skilled and motivated React Web Developer to join our startup team of games industry veterans to help build a powerful and scalable video game rewards platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the front end of our mobile and web applications, utilizing your expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and serverless architectures on AWS or Google Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in React, adhering to best practices and coding standards. 
• Coordinate with development and design teams to develop applications that are aligned with specifications and run on numerous platforms.
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture plans.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of code to production.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance our technology and innovate.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in professional web development
• Extensive experience developing and deploying public-facing React applications to mobile production environments
• Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript developing structured scalable solutions
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with cloud architecture on GCP, Azure, or AWS
• Strong understanding of API development and integrations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong time management skills, organized, self-driven, highly productive

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent foundational technical experience)
• Complex projects completed in React Native
• Experience working in sprint and agile-like development methodologies
• Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, Trello or ClickUp
• Experience with AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Firestore
• Experience with Firebase
• Experience creating cross-platform optimized and scalable user experiences
• Experience with CSS, animation frameworks, and responsive design
• Experience working with and/or managing external developer partners

We offer a competitive salary on $70k-$130k; 4 weeks of flexible paid time off and company holidays; comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance (all 50% company paid); and a 401k (with 4% company match).
