Anticipated Interview Dates: Virtual interviews are anticipated to be held between September 2, 2024 to September 6, 2024.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week. Successful candidate will be required to work five (5) days per week onsite for the first 60 days.

The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Network Administration Unit is seeking an Information Technology Associate (ITA) to serve within the Enterprise Network section.

The Network Analyst works directly with Network Specialists and Telecommunications Engineers in the Network Engineering Unit. A successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with all networking related components. The incumbent will primarily work on day to day maintenance and operation tasks, but will also assist with network Architecture, Engineering, and Administration.

Statement of Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience with Cisco Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) or other clustered firewall technology
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or other port security technology
• Knowledge of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) or other Software Defined Networking, such as VMWare vSphere Distributed Switch (VDS)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud environments
• General networking experience: Routers, switches, firewall, VPN, load balancers, and wireless networking
