Sales Manager : Are you a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for sales. Elevated Property Services seeking an energetic and experienced Sales Manager to join our Extended Stay Opening team. The Sales Manager is a key player on the Sales team and will build strong relationships with existing key client accounts and solicit new group sales clients for the hotel to meet and exceed revenue goals in group rooms, food and beverage, and meeting room rental. Marina Square Extended Stay is a stunning, purpose-built hotel featuring 75 apartment-style suites. Nestled in the vibrant downtown area of Bremerton, our hotel offers fully appointed suites with contemporary finishes, ideal for extended stay travelers.

Travel As needed: Perhaps 25% of time.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include but not limited to the following:

Work Performed: The Sales Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Solicit, negotiate, and generate contracted revenues from assigned segment group prospects that meet criteria established in each hotel's deployment assignments.
  • Prepare and present creative and value-added Requests for Proposals.
  • Prospect for new group business using a wide variety of methods including phone, video conferencing, outside sales calls, attending industry functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade events, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate events to attract potential clients and generate leads. Work toward building community and enhancing the social value of our offerings for clients and tenants. Identify and pursue leads generated from events to convert them into sales opportunities. Seek out opportunities for new and recurring events in event space.
  • Strategically plan and executes events while leveraging marketing tactics to maximize attendance and engagement, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
  • Develop, implement, and constantly modify sales plans for the hotel.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system through CRM activity notes for each account and booking by hotel property.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel's business plan objectives, including desired arrival, departure, and volume patterns.
  • Internally communicate client requirements to assigned hotels sales teams, thereby ensuring all information is accurate between client and hotel staff.
  • Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales activities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files to be able to compete successfully.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with local civic groups, state society of association executives, and companies.
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
  • Travel within market locally as necessary to conduct outside sales calls, attend trade shows and presentations to promote the hotel and develop new business.
  • Obtain advanced knowledge of market trends, the competition, and key customers of the hotel.
  • Develop and conduct presentations, proposals, and contracts to properly negotiate and close sales.
  • Conduct market research and recommend strategies to drive group room nights and overall revenue.
  • Check in with clients and coordinate with various departments in the servicing of groups and events to ensure smooth turnover from initial sales phase to finalized agreement.
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-conference meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
  • Know which leisure groups produce effective business for the hotel, the sources of business for each and understand how to balance them to maximize revenues.
  • Know your “top ten” key account produce effective business and foster these relationships. Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce Corporate Travel/BT Market, extended stay project business and other cross-departmental referral business.
  • Establishes SMERFE (Sports, Military, Education, Religious, Fraternal, Entertainment) and Tour client base for specific geographic markets to include organizations, associations, social groups, sports and entertainment groups through directly soliciting business via prospecting to including but not limited to, outside sales calls, e-communications, referrals and networking
  • Oversight and optimization of relationships, agreements, and operations with Online Travel Agencies (OTA). This includes tasks such as negotiating contracts, managing inventory and rates, optimizing listings, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring a positive presence on OTA platforms to maximize bookings and revenue for hotels or other hospitality establishments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· 1+ years of professional experience in Hotel Sales Management

· Strong organizational and project management skills

· Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred skills and qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business management or related discipline

· Experience in marketing, public relations and/or sales

· Proficiency in CRM management software

· Ability to travel within the community as needed.
