DeRomo’s Gourmet Market has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Market Manager . DeRomo’s is a bustling, high-end gourmet shop in Bonita Springs that offers an array of items with a emphasis on specialty Italian products. Imagine putting a roof over a charming village in Tuscany and you have DeRomo's Gourmet Market. We offer freshly baked Italian cookies and pastries, an array of house-made items like mozzarella, sausage, sandwiches and pizza. Additionally, we have an impressive collection of imported, domestic, conventional, and organic products from all over the world. The store has specialized departments including meat, seafood, prepared foods, deli, olive bar, produce, pizza, bakery, coffee bar, cheese, and an extensive wine department.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Oversee, assist and supervise market departments (specifically wine, cheese, deli and pizza) in goals, objectives and standards of the organization, planning and performance to profitable revenues.
· Assist with preparing reports include but not limited to forecasting, declining balance, profit/loss reports, product margins, and inventory.
· Assist Market General Manager with the monitoring and managing of all labor and other controllable expenditures within budget.
· Direct and maintain inventory, product mix and merchandising standards.
· Evaluate and identify product needs and develop necessary training to ensure associates provide food knowledge to customers and communicate clearly and effectively.
· Monitor key indicators as directed by the Director of Operations and the Market General Manager to ensure overall satisfaction.
· Ensure the market is properly opened/closed and maintained in areas including but not limited to the front of the house, outside seating areas, and interior market floor.
· Manage market with an eye on the details (from the parking lot to the inside back corner). IE: Cleanliness, repairs, out of place items, opportunity for enhancements and customer care.
· Maintain product quality and positive guest relations in the Market.
· Assist in facilitation of floor flow and product rotation including merchandising, facing, blocking
· Establish and maintain a positive culture with line level staff as well as between all market departments.
· Ensure quality pre-shift meetings are daily, held.
· Assist to successfully communicate, train and support market staff in customer service, market operation and problem resolution.
· Train, communicate, manage through the Core Values of DeRomo's Gourmet Market and Restaurant
