Job Description

A Copywriter is responsible for creating and reviewing content for all our creative projects. They know our clients’ brands, industries and strategies inside and out. They tell compelling, professional and creative B2B stories for various media, including presentations, videos, white papers and reports. Copywriters are eager to learn, teach — and research — themselves, care about the design and generally love the world of writing, brainstorming and problem solving. At Notion, this position requires fast-paced thinking, collaboration, curiosity mixed with initiative and, most importantly, caring deeply about client relationships, their brands and producing amazing work.

Requirements/Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Technical Writing or similar. In some instances, a two-year degree with relevant work experience may be acceptable.
  • Must present writing samples
  • Understands strategy from creative brief; translates strategic communication needs into appropriate and impactful copy executions
  • Resourceful, conceptual and willing to research and dig deeper
  • Able to learn quickly and absorb information
  • Understands tone and can write copy to match brand voice
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and able to think independently
  • Adaptable to various industries and audiences
  • Works in multiple communication channels (e.g. print, video/animation scripts, radio spots, presentations, infographics, digital, etc.)
  • Eager to collaborate with clients and internal team (Account Managers, Project Managers, Designers, Video team)
  • Able to conduct professional interviews with subject matter experts
  • Follows client and creative direction well
  • Contributes to creative brainstorms
  • Able to provide rationale and content direction to clients and internal teams
  • Assists with new business opportunities – RFP responses, proposals, pitches, etc.
  • Experience presenting to internal and external audiences
  • Accountable for time and budget for project deliverables
  • Able to manages multiple projects within deadlines while maintaining consistent and high-quality outcomes
  • Supports Notion internal and external marketing and key message development
  • Ability to provide editorial and proofreading support
