Job Description

Position Title: Communications Agent

Job Summary: The Communications Agent is responsible for managing and executing a variety of communication tasks to ensure effective internal and external communication for the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments, crafting messages, managing digital platforms, and supporting the overall communication strategy. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong understanding of social media, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communication:

  • Develop and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and updates to employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to ensure consistent messaging and information dissemination.
  • Maintain internal communication channels, such as intranet platforms and email distribution lists.

External Communication:

  • Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other public-facing communications.
  • Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews, statements, and other public relations activities.
  • Manage relationships with external media outlets and stakeholders.

Digital and Social Media Management:

  • Create, curate, and manage content for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with followers to build the organization's online presence.
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement and reach.

Crisis Communication:

  • Assist in developing and executing crisis communication plans.
  • Act as a point of contact during crises, ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated to all stakeholders.

Event Support:

  • Provide communication support for company events, including drafting promotional materials and managing event-related communications.
  • Assist with the coordination of press conferences, webinars, and other public events.

Qualifications:

 

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
