Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Move equipment from shop to jobsite or to rental house.
- Load and unload equipment.
- Tie off equipment correctly and/or strap material down to the trailer.
- Measure the height of any equipment that may be over height on the trailer.
- Check the truck and trailer oil, tires, water, leaks, etc., each day before starting.
- Pick up parts for shop when needed.
- Wash trucks and equipment when not driving.
- Keep beds of dump trucks cleaned out.
- Help around shop as needed.
- Ensure correct number of chains, binders and straps for load pick up.
- Interact with internal and external customers professionally.
- Verify you have the right equipment or material for the job.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with WBC safety requirements.
- Serve as a safe and productive member of the Equipment Group.
- Perform all assigned roles, responsibilities, and related work processes/tasks in the safest possible manner. Ensure that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma/GED - desirable
- Equipment operation and maintenance training/experience in - desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required - Implement assigned work tasks within designated work teams
- Read road maps and service manuals
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment
- Problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and maintenance-oriented reasoning
- Communicating with shop foremen, dispatcher, group superintendents, and team members

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Valid Class A CDL Tractor Trailer license - required
- OSHA - 10 Hour Certification - required; training provided by Wayne Brothers
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification - desirable
- First Aid/CPR - desirable
- All-terrain material handler certification -desirable
- Aerial lift certification - desirable
- WBC Craft Training and other certifications up through Grading Level III- preferred
Physical Demands - Lifting, carrying, or moving up to 35 pounds
- Frequent steering, riding, bouncing
- Sitting for long periods of time on heavy equipment
- Focus concentration, attention to detail
