Job Description

Altruic Advisors is seeking an Audit Intern. This is a hybrid remote/in-person internship that requires limited travel to clients. Your working hours will typically be split between your home office and our collaborative firm office. While most of our engagements are performed remotely, you will occasionally be required to visit a client's office in person.

This internship offers a significant amount of personalized on-the-job training and considerable potential for placement as a full-time Staff Auditor.

As an Audit Intern, you will:
  • Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements from planning through issuance
  • Perform audit testing procedures relevant to risk, test objectives
  • Perform walkthroughs of client controls
  • Develop the ability to audit areas such as cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, deferred revenue, other liabilities, payroll
  • Complete audit programs
  • Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
  • Prepare Form 990 returns for clients
  • Perform self-review of all work prior to review by the supervisor
  • Ensure adherence at all times to firm and professional standards

This is a part-time summer internship, which is anticipated to last from late May to August 1. Audit Interns are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week. We offer flexibility to accommodate school schedules or other employment. If requested, Altruic Advisors will provide any necessary verification of the internship for college credit purposes.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills

  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
